"Yeah it's an unbelievable feeling." Haggery said after the win at Gutterson Fieldhouse. "I didn't know what to expect coming in to the game. We lost our last game three to two. So it was unbelievable to score those two goals. We got scored on and we came right back and we got a quick one and that just got everyone hyped on the bench and we went out and gave it our all."
Back in 2011, Middlebury beat Stowe 2-1 in overtime in the championship game. Many Raiders, including Haggerty, had payback on the mind.
"I knew my brother and his friends were here so I wanted to do it for them." said Haggerty. "It was painful watching from the stands when they lost to Middlebury three or four years ago. So I'm happy I did it for them. I did it for the town. We did it for each other so good feeling."
