Beekmantown Football: 110% Motivated for 2017

WEST CHAZY, N.Y. - 110% focus, 110% effort, 110% success. That's a new motto for this year's Beekmantown varsity football team.

Senior Quarterback Dominick Bordeau says, "That's kind of what I'm trying to drill into everybody's head and those three things will help us have a good year."

A good year is the standard for Beekmantown football.  Although this season, the Eagles take the field minus the highlight reel heroics of graduated seniors Ryan Criss and Alex Archer.  The result: higher expectations for the rest of the team.

Senior center and defensive lineman Trevor Drapeau explains, "We just gotta work.  Every practice, every rep.  You just gotta show up and give it your all so you get better."

For Beekmantwon, there's not a player on the field that's satisfied.  Especially following last year's shocking loss to Peru in the section championship.

Head Coach Jamie Lozier recalls, "They got us.  But that motivated us.  And this group has been in there for a long time and you can physically see the difference."

A day at practice shows: The Eagles are focused, they're certainly putting forth the effort, and the success... that's still to come.
