Under Becker, the 2014 America East Coach of the Year, Vermont won the America East Regular Season Championship for the sixth time in school history and finished the 2013-14 season with a record of 22-11. The Catamounts posted their sixth straight 20-win season and earned a berth to the NIT for the program's sixth consecutive postseason appearance.
Senior Brian Voelkel, the 2014 America East Defensive Player of the Year, became the program's all-time leader in rebounding (1,168), assists (679) and consecutive games played (129) and shared the all-time UVM mark for games played (134) with teammate Sandro Carissimo. He also became the only player in Division I history to record over 1,000 rebounds and 600 assists and finished his career ranked among the top five in both categories in America East history. Additionally, seniors Luke Apfeld, Sandro Carissimo and Candon Rusin all reached the 1,000-point milestone during the year.
