Sydney Mas registered a team-high four goals and now has 202 in her career. Mas is Vermont's all-time leader in goals and is the first player in program history to surpass the 200-goal plateau.
Marcie Marino pitched in with three scores and Danielle Seifert added two to help pace the Catamounts. Vanessa VanderZalm picked up a goal and an assist and added a game-high seven draw controls. Liz Calby and Jaclyn Leto registered four goals each to lead the Big Green.
Calby netted the first two scores of the game before Mas matched her with a pair of goals to even the score at the 23:08 mark. The second goal for Mas was the 200th of her career.
Dartmouth went on a run in the ensuing 10-plus minutes, scoring five of the next six goals. Calby and Leto tallied two apiece as the Big Green took a 7-3 lead with 8:45 left in the half. Karli MacKendrick and Marino responded for the Catamounts to cut the deficit to 7-5 before Leto registered one more score with 14 seconds left to give Dartmouth an 8-5 lead heading into halftime.
Lucy Mower and Marino notched the first two scores for Vermont in the second half before Leto tallied her fourth of the game to push the Dartmouth lead to 10-7. Danielle Seifert cut the UVM deficit to one with a pair of scores in a span of 1:35, and Sydney Mas followed with another goal to tie the game at 10-10 with 20:39 to play.
Mas gave the Catamounts their first lead of the game, 11-10, with 9:36 remaining on an unassisted goal. Marino added an insurance tally at the 7:13 mark to give Vermont a two-goal advantage. The Catamounts controlled play and held the ball for much of the remainder of the game as they went on to earn the 12-10 victory.
Freshman Mackenzie Maher made 10 saves to pick up her sixth win of the season in goal for Vermont. Kristen Giovanniello stopped eight shots and took the loss for Dartmouth.
