Essex Junction Little League Eliminated from New England Regional

BRISTOL, Conn. - The Essex Junction 12-and-under Little League stars saw their season come to an end following an 8-5 loss to South Portland, Maine in a New England Regional Tournament elimination game.

South Portland, the Maine state champions, used back-to-back home runs in the second inning to take a 6-0 lead.  After that, the Vermont squad fought back.  Eli Bostwick and Jake Reyome had RBI hits in the third inning and Andrew Goodrich hit a home run in the fifth.

In the end, the Vermont champions fell to South Portland for the second time in the week, and were eliminated, finishing fourth in the region.  The loss ends a season that the Essex Junction team will look back upon proudly.
