Lage Walks it Off as the Lake Monsters Top Connecticut in Thirteen Innings

BURLINGTON, Vt. - Jesus Lage hit a walkoff single in the bottom of the thirteenth inning Sunday night to secure a 6-5 victory for the Vermont Lake Monsters over the Connecticut Tigers.

Lage's RBI scored Anthony Churlin, who doubled just before scoring the winning run.  Logan Farrar also had a big game, going 4-for-6 with a home run, helping Vermont erase an early 4-0 deficit.

With the victory, the Lake Monsters improve to 32-26 on the season and lead the Tri-City ValleyCats in Stedler Division by two games.

The Lake Monsters and Tigers will play in a rubber match Monday night at 7:05 before traveling to Lowell for a three-game series.
