SU's Fair named 2nd Team All-American

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse University senior C.J. Fair has been selected as a 2nd Team All-American by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.

Fair helped lead the Orange to a 25-0 start to the season and a No. 1 ranking in the polls.

The senior forward is the first SU All-American since Wesley Johnson in 2010.

Duke freshman forward Jabari Parker was the only other representative from the ACC. He was selected as a 1st Team All-American.

The following players were selected as All-American’s by the USBWA:

  • Doug McDermott, Creighton
  • Shabazz Napier, Connecticut
  • Jabari Parker, Duke
  • Russ Smith, Louisville
2nd Team
  • Cleanthony Early, Wichita State
  • Melvin Ejim, Iowa State
  • C.J. Fair, Syracuse
  • Sean Kilpatrick, Cincinnati
  • Andrew Wiggins, Kansas
