BURLINGTON, Vt. - Sources close to the team tell Local 22/44 that three Vermont Bucks players will be signed to the CFL's Montreal Alouettes following Saturday's Burlington tryout.
The players expected to head north of the border include kicker and Pittsford, Vermont native Carl Ojala, defensive back Reggie Thomas and running back/wide receiver Kelvin Amparo.
The players will begin playing with the Alouettes Tuesday, May 23 when Montreal opens rookie mini camp, the team's first preseason game is June 8 at Toronto.
The opportunity likely marks the end of the three players Buck's career, as the Allouetts schedule conflicts with Vermont's June 3 playoff game against the Boston Blaze as well as a potential Can-Am Indoor Football League Championship game on June 10.
More details will become available when the Bucks make an official announcement in the coming week.
