Vermont Bucks Prepare for Potential Season Finale at Gutterson Fieldhouse

SHELBURNE, Vt. - Saturday night at 7:00, the Vermont Bucks host the Central Penn Chargers in the Can-Am Indoor Football League's East Division Championship.

Should the bucks come out on the losing end, like they did in their final game of the regular season, they'll be done for the year, and look forward to next season when they play in the newly formed, American Arena League.

Should Vermont win, the team will advance to the league championship, A game that may or may not be played at Gutterson Fieldhouse in Burlington.

Because of that, Milton's own Jamie Holbrook says he wants to do everything he can to represent Vermont and say "thank you" to the fans.

Holbrook says, "It means a lot.  Especially coming back home from playing high school here, being able to see the fans that I grew up with and meeting new fans as well.  I think it's something that was really special for the state to have.  And, I mean, football's big here.  People outside the state don't really know that.  But, the guys that are here now, they're starting to grasp that and they understand that we are a  football state, and I mean  it's just, it's awesome."

Bucks center DeQuan Murray adds, "This place has been so good to me man.  And I'm pretty sure I can speak for the entire team.  Just let it all on the line man, just leave it all on the field man.  Vermont has been absolutely amazing to us and we know this could potentially be our last time playing in this stadium, and I'm not going out like that."

Saturday's West Division Championship features the Buffalo Blitz and the Rochester Kings.  Should Rochester win and remain undefeated, they'll host the league championship. That means Vermont fans will also want to root for Buffalo on Saturday.
