10.19.13 Still Waiting for a Below Average Day

Nearly twenty days into October and Burlington has yet to record a below average high temperature.
We're now essentially two-thirds of the way through October, but Burlington has yet to record a below average high temperature. The average temperature is now an astounding 7.5 degrees above normal!

That won't continue though, as chillier air moves in later this week.

In fact, Sunday will be close to (if not a little below) average. Monday and Tuesday will also be near average, which for this time of year is in the mid-50s. A cold front will bring showers Monday night and Tuesday, followed by a rush of cooler air. Highs Wednesday into the weekend will likely remain in the 40s! That will take a bite out of our warmer than average month.

Meanwhile, it still looks like there will be a few flakes in the mountains. A few flurries are possible early Sunday morning, followed by a few more flakes mixed with raindrops on Tuesday. Occasional flurries are also possible Thursday into Saturday as highs stay in the 30s.
