92-Year-Old Man Carjacked in Rutland, VT

A 92-year old Rutland man was carjacked Thursday morning.
RUTLAND, Vt. - A 92-year old Rutland man was carjacked Thursday morning. The incident happened at around 10 a.m. in the Tops Grocery store parking lot.

Police say the elderly victim was approached by a man who wanted a ride. During the ride, the man displayed a gun and ordered the victim to drive to Curtis Ave. The victim was forced out of the car and the man drove away.

The elderly man was not physically hurt, but is shaken up.

Police are looking for a 2004 Toyota Camry with Vermont plates BAK207.

The suspect is described as being 6' tall with red facial hair. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police say this is a good reminder not to allow strangers in your car.
