Burlington Airport Earns Improved Bond Rating Outlook from Moody's

The Burlington International Airport earned an improved bond rating outlook from Moody's on Wednesday.
BURLINGTON, Vt. - The Burlington International Airport earned an improved bond rating outlook from Moody's on Wednesday.

A press release says the rating incorporates the airport’s diverse carrier base and revenue mix, and improving liquidity and financial performance. The Burlington economy and lack of direct competition were also factored into the rating.

“The improvement in the bond rating demonstrates the bright future ahead for the airport and shows the hard work of the Burlington Team, through the direction of the Mayor, in ensuring that Burlington remains financially strong for many years to come,” Burlington’s Director of Aviation, Gene Richards, said.

The revenue bond outlook went from Ba1 negative to Ba1 stable.
