1.18.14 Long Weekend Forecast

After some surprise Saturday sunshine in spots, snow showers remain in the forecast for parts of the long holiday weekend.
Parts of the Adirondacks, Southern Vermont, the Upper Valley, and New Hampshire saw the advertised snow showers Saturday, but others saw some surprise sun!

Skies will remain mostly cloudy on Sunday with highs on either side of 30. Expect off and on occasional snow showers during the day, but not a steady snow. The snow showers will be most numerous, widespread, and intense during the evening and nighttime hours as a cold front drops down from the north. Most places see a dusting-2" where it snows.

A few flurries may linger early Monday morning, but as colder air moves in, we'll see a mix of sun and clouds later in the day. Highs start to fall- only in the teens and low 20s.

The true bitter blast holds off until next week when lows begin below zero and highs struggle to make the single digits.
