Car seats are trusted with your child's life, installing it incorrectly could be dangerous.
SHELBURNE, Vt.- About 80 percent of parents and caregivers do not install car seats correctly which can be dangerous for children and even fatal if there were an accident. The Vermont Department of Health's Be Seat Smart program has free fitting stations where you can get your child's car seat inspected and learn how to install in correctly.

Certified technicians will provide parents and caregivers with instruction of proper installation of car seats at multiple locations across the state of Vermont. If your child is in a booster seat you can also check to see if your child is ready to sit without it.

You can make an appointment to make sure your car seat is secure and safe by contacting your local fitting station listed on Be Seat Smart's website
