Today was our first day featuring a high temperature below 90 in Burlington since last Sunday! In between Northern New York, Vermont, and parts of New Hampshire baked in heat-wave.

The Queen City logged 5-straight days of 90+ highs, an unusual occurrence. As Kerrin mentioned in a prior post, such a stretch has only been achieved on a dozen other occasions. The longest streak of 90+ weather was 8 days.

This week was our first 5-day heat wave since August 11-15, 2002...more than ten years ago!

The warmest day of the week was Friday, when highs soared to 98. That smashed the daily high temperature record previously set in 1977 (94).

After the recent warmth, July's average temperature in Burlington is 76.7, a whopping 6.1 degrees above average!

Now we'll settle into cooler (70s to low 80s) and less humid weather for the next two days. Enjoy!
