7.24.13 Near Record Lows Tonight

Some towns will be nearing record low values tonight as chilly air settles in.
It felt more like Autumn than Summer today, as highs only reached the 60s and 70s! Burlington's high of 71 is normal for September 15.

Cool, dry Canadian air slipping in from the north will send temperatures down into the 40s to near 50 tonight. In fact, some towns in the Adirondacks will likely dip into the upper 30s. The Champlain Valley and Upper Valley will stay warmest (near 50). While I don't think records will be broken, we're at least in the neighborhood. See the attached image for specifics on our record territory.

Thursday will also run below average- highs will again mostly stay in the 70s.
