A press release says the job training grants total $106,811.50 to help train workers with new skills.
“I am excited to announce this latest round of important grants to help prepare workers for good jobs at New Hampshire’s growing businesses,” said Governor Hassan. “New Hampshire’s Job Training Fund is a valuable resource that has provided essential skills to thousands of workers. In order to support the business community’s efforts to create good jobs and keep New Hampshire’s economy moving forward, we must continue to focus on strengthening our workforce pipeline through job training and higher education.”
The following companies received the grant:
The NH Auto Dealers Association of Concord received a grant of up to $69,970 for 50 employees to receive ASE Automotive Technician and Collision Repair Training through the Community College System of New Hampshire.
A grant of $9,861 was awarded to Granite State Manufacturing for training up to 37 employees in Soldering IPC-620, Solid Works, CAD 1, 2, and 3, Liquid Penetrant and ASNT-TC Visual Training, and Advanced Excel. Hellier and Manchester Community College (MCC) will provide the training.
A grant of up to $7,002.50 was awarded to Granite United Way of Manchester for training 50 employees. MCC will offer training in business writing, Aurora Business Solutions will offer soft and supervisory skill training, and Sojourn Partners will train employees in leadership development.
Precision Tool and Molding, LLC of Derry received a Job Training Fund grant of $1,500 for training six employees in scientific molding at PPD Tech.
Worthen Industries of Nashua received a training grant of up to $10,978 for Nashua Community College to train 54 employees in LEAN methodology.
RdF Corporation of Hudson received a grant of $1,250 for the New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NHMEP) to train up to two employees in ExporTech.
Beta Acquisition Inc. of Thornton also received a $1,250 grant for the NHMEP to train one employee in ExporTech.
Tender Corporation of Littleton received a grant of $5,000 for seven employees to receive sales training from Sandler Sales Training.Companies interested in applying to the Job Training Fund should visit the fund's web site at www.nhjobtrainingfund.org.
