9.14.13 Historic Flooding in Colorado

While we had some isolated flash flooding this week, the situation is far worse in Colorado and Mexico.
While we dealt with some isolated flash flooding this week, most notably in parts of Southern Vermont and New Hampshire, the situation is much more serious in Colorado.

Days of torrential, relentless rains led to the worst flooding in decades. And it's still raining. Totals thus far stand at 10-15". A few isolated areas have picked up more like 15-20". Several people have died, and over a hundred remain unaccounted for.

Meanwhile, a new flash flood threat is developing in Eastern Mexico as Hurricane Ingrid moves in from the Gulf of Mexico. The storm will bring 10-15" to the region, with isolated 15-20" amounts there too. Another storm threatens Western Mexico, as well.
