A New York Senator calls for more Security at the WTC

Senator Chuck Schumer is calling for federal review of Port Authority Security procedures at the World Trade Center site.
NEW YORK- A New York senator made a big announcement on Sunday.

Senator Chuck Schumer is calling for federal review of Port Authority Security procedures at the World Trade Center site.

Schumer's request to the Department of Homeland Security follows several recent security breaches there.

Last Monday four men were arrested for base jumping at the building.

A 16-year-old got past guards a few weeks ago too, and made it to the 104th floor.

Last September, three men parachuted off the building.

"After living through the September 11th terrorist attacks, New Yorkers expect the freedom tower and this whole site to have top-notch, fool-proof safeguards in place," said Chuck Schumer, New York.

Schumer said the feds have spent hundreds of millions of dollars on security at the site.

But he wants to make sure the funds are being used effectively.
