LOWELL, Vt. - It's been three months since a massive sinkhole opened on Mines Road in Lowell, Vermont. And it still looks the same.

Back in April, heavy rain washed the road away, causing two cars to plunge 15 feet. Fortunately, no one was killed.

Bids have finally gone out to fix the gaping hole. FOX44 and ABC22 should know more August 6.

The state highway department believes the plastic culvert was the problem. It will likely be replaced with cement.

As for who pays the bill, it could be a combination of local, state, and federal dollars.
