CCTA Strike: Other Transportation

CCTA says Union drivers will strike Monday. Burlington reminding riders of other options to get around.
BURLINGTON, Vt. - With CCTA announcing Union drivers will strike Monday, March 17, the City of Burlington wants to make sure you know of other resources available.

First off, if you use Special Services Transportation Agency, the city says, there will be no impact from the strike. SSTA will run as scheduled, call (802) 878-1527 for more information.

Also, if you need a ride, remember Vermont has a carpool matching service, go to http://www.connectingcommuters.org/ for more information.

And, if you have access to a car, Burlington does have parking garages. The city says, the Lakeview Garage and College Street Garage usually have extra space during the week. The Lakeview Garage is off Cherry Street next to Hotel Vermont, the College Street Garage next to People’s United Bank on College Street. At both the first two hours are free, and you won’t pay more than $8 for the whole day.
