Feds Still Want More Detail on Lake Clean-Up

The EPA sent more comments on Vermont's Lake Champlain clean-up plan.
COLCHESTER, Vt. - On Thursday the Environmental Protection Agency sent more comments on the state's initial plans to cut phosphorus levels in the lake. The EPA says the state shows "no clear commitment" to securing funding for the efforts, something that must change in order for plans to proceed.

The federal agency is still looking for a more specific timeline on the cleanup as well. That clean-up process that could take twenty years.

The EPA expects a final revised plan, and commitment letter from the Governor, by the end of this month.
