Fire Damages Burlington Apartment Building

A fire damaged an apartment building in Burlington.

According to Burlington Fire Chief Seth Lasker, crews responded to the fire at 21 North Union Street at around 4 a.m. Wednesday.

When crews arrived, the top of the building was on fire. It took firefighters about two hours to put out it out, according to Lasker.

Five people were in the building when the fire started. They made it out safe.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

North Union Street will be closed for most of Wednesday.
