Four People Charged with Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Sell in Barre, VT Monday Night

Four people were arrested on a drug charge in Barre, Vt. Monday night.
BARRE (CITY), Vt. - Four people were arrested on a drug charge in Barre, Vt. Monday night.

Police say they responded to an assault complaint involving a car with Maryland license plates. Officers located the car and four individuals Dwayne Miley, 22, of New York, Hope Nisen, 28, of Barre, Vt., Byron Mathews, 18, of New York, and Nathan Gore, 23, of New York, at the Days Inn on South Main Street. The individuals are believed to be involved in an earlier assault in Room 240 at the Days Inn.

Police say after searching the car and hotel room, they seized 2 handguns, a white powder believed to be cocaine (field tested positive), and marijuana.

All four suspects are charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to sell. They were all lodged at the Barre City Police Department on the lack of $50,000 bail.

They are expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

Police say they also arrested Chelsea McElroy (aka Chelsea Raven), of Barre, Vt., who showed up at the scene. She had an outstanding warrant for failure on a retail theft. Her bail was set at $500.
