ALBANY, N.Y. - Grants are available in New York for non-profit and municipal shooting ranges.
A press release says the shooting range small grants programs application is now open through May 15. The grants support recreational opportunities for sportsmen and women and to promote safe and responsible use of firearms.
“With publicly accessible shooting ranges in high demand, the Shooting Range Grants Program is proving to be a popular supportive program. Shooting ranges provide important benefits to the hunting, recreational shooting and competitive shooting communities," Environmental Conservation Commissioner Joe Martens said.
Projects will be selected annually through a competitive grant process. Funding for projects will range from $1,000 to $15,000, depending on the number of applications and funding available.
