Friday’s Hometown Hotspot highlights the 5th Annual Burlington Wine & Food Festival on Saturday on the Burlington lakefront.
The Festival is put on by Tracy & Mike Stolese who saw a niche in the market a few years ago when similar festivals disappeared.
The wide selection of samples is what they think sets them apart from other festivals.
“#1 certainly the variety of wine,” said Tracy Stolese. “We have 300 wines from all over the world from Shelburne Vineyards right here in Vermont to Argentina, Australia, Italy, France, California, really any wine country you can think of they'll probably have something represented here. We have 9 of the best restaurants in town."
There will also be food seminars, vendors, jazz music and a silent auction to benefit the South End Arts and Business Association, SEABA. Tastings are from noon - 3:30 and 5 - 8:30 Saturday.
Pre-sale tickets are $50. You have until 5pm Friday to purchase those tickets.
