A report by the Association of American Medical Colleges compared physician supply in the United States.
According to the report, there were 90.1 primary care physicians per 100,000 population in the United States in 2012. Primary care physicians were classified as those who specialize in adolescent medicine, family medicine, general practice, geriatric medicine, and internal medicine.
