Fletcher Allen has received $120,000 in funding from the Lintilhac Foundation.
BURLINGTON, Vt. - Fletcher Allen has received $120,000 in funding from the Lintilhac Foundation.

Fletcher Allen says the grant will enhance care that addresses the psycho-social needs of patients.

“Addressing mental health, spiritual and related needs is at the heart of the care we provide,” said Marti Churchill, Certified Nurse Midwife. “We are so grateful to the Lintilhac Foundation for recognizing this, and for making it possible for us to do even more for our patients in this specialty area.”

The Midwifery Service at Fletcher Allen consists of 5 Certified Nurse Midwifes (CNM) who provide prenatal and follow-up care 5 days a week.  They are also on-call around the clock to support women in labor.

Fletcher Allen says CMNs deliver more than 200 babies per year on average at Fletcher Allen.
