OSSIPEE, N.H. - An emergency hearing was held at Coos County Superior Court in New Hampshire Wednesday for the man accused of kidnapping a North Conway teenager.

Nathaniel Kibby's lawyer says he needs all the evidence preserved at its current location, including his trailer home and a storage unit, because he has so little information on why his client was arrested. The 34-year-old was charged last month with kidnapping Abigial Hernandez last October as she walked home from high school.

Hernandez, now 15, returned home last month.

Kibby is charged with a felony count of kidnapping. He's being held on $1 million cash bail.

The state argues that it's impossible to safeguard the trailer and storage unit without posting a 24-hour guard at the site. They also say that by securing it offsite, it will be better preserved.
