Man Accused of Lewd & Lascivious Conduct Arrested Again

A man accused of lewd and lascivious conduct was arrested again Wednesday night.
BURLINGTON, Vt. - A man accused of lewd and lascivious conduct was arrested again Wednesday night. The incident happened at around 11 p.m. on the Church Street block between Main and College Streets.

Burlington Police say Michael Norton, 48, of Winooski, Vt., was inappropriately touching himself on a Church Street bench. Norton had two conditions of release earlier this month to stay off Church Street.

Norton was charged with violation of conditions of release and lewd and lascivious conduct by the South Burlington Police Department on Tuesday for inappropriately touching himself in front of the University Mall.

On Wednesday, a judge banned Norton from the University Mall and to stay 100 feet away from minors under the age of 18.

Norton was arrested again on Thursday for being on the marketplace after he was told not to go and throwing an orange juice bottle at a grocery store worker.

Norton was lodged at the Chittenden County Correctional Facility.
