Man Breaks Into Home Through Dog Door He Installed

A man who installed a dog door at a residence, is now accused of burglarizing the home.
CLARENDON, Vt. - A man who installed a dog door at a residence, is now accused of burglarizing the home.

Vermont State Police say Nicholas Brown, 24, of Danby, Vt., entered the home through the dog door and then stole a 60" television.

The victim, 35-year-old Clemente Delarosa says he recently hired Brown to do carpentry work around the house. Delarosa had security cameras around his property, which helped police solve the case.

Police say Brown admitted to the burglary and stated that he traveled to Rutland to trade the television for 12 bags of heroin.

Brown is charged with burglary, petit larceny, & unlawful mischief.
