Man Robbed at Knifepoint in Burlington

A man was robbed of cash and a backpack in Burlington on Sunday.
BURLINGTON, Vt. - A man was robbed of cash and a backpack on a Burlington street late Sunday afternoon.

According to Burlington Police, the male victim had a verbal altercation of some kind with three males in a newer model silver Kia Sephia near the intersection of South Union and Saint Paul Streets.

The victim then continued walking on Saint Paul Street.

A short time later, at approximately 5:20 P.M., the three men in the car pulled up to the victim near the intersection of Saint Paul and Kilburn Streets.

One of the men exited the car brandishing a knife. After stealing cash and a backpack from the victim, the suspect returned to the car. It continued north on Saint Paul Street.

The knife wielding suspect is described as being a white male around 19 or 20 years old with short buzzed dark colored hair, peach fuzz, and acne on his cheeks. He was wearing black jeans, and a grey Nike sweatshirt. Police say he also had a small hoop earring in his left ear, with a stud just above it. A tattoo reading "FAMILY" was spotted on the left side of his neck. It was written in Old English style font about 1 inch high.

The driver of the car is said to be a black male in his late 20s. He had a goatee with grey hairs, and wore a blue L.A. Dodgers hat.

The front seat passenger was a young, clean cut white male wearing a plain white t-shirt and faded jeans. He was described as having a "Justin Bieber" style hair cut.
