PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - A judge sentenced 40-year-old Christopher Rock for selling narcotics and multiple burglaries in Clinton county last year.
A press release says Rock will serve 10 years, 5 years on each of the five burglary convictions and 5 years on a controlled substance conviction. He will also have 5 years post release supervision on the burglary conviction and two years post release on the controlled substance conviction. Those will be served concurrently.
"These criminals steal more than just property; they steal a person's sense of safety and often their memories," Clinton County District Attorney Andrew Wylie said. "For these invasions, Mr. Rock will spend the next decade behind bars. The message is simple, home invasions will be dealt with severely in Clinton County."
Rock pleaded guilty to five counts of 2nd degree burglary on December 2, 2013. On January 6, 2014, he pleaded guilty to 3rd degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance.
A press release says Rock burglarized five different residences between October 15, 2012 and December 10, 2012. He stole various electronics, power tools, jewelry, and other personal items. Rock also sold Morphine on October 16, 2012 in the City of Plattsburgh.
