Mudslide Closes New York Road

A mudslide closed a road in Warren County, New York Saturday night.
WARRENSBURG, N.Y. - As of Sunday morning, Route 418 in Warrensburg remains closed due to a mudslide, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Office.

We first told you about the slide Saturday night.

It happened around 7 P.M. Saturday, and officials with the New York State Department of Transportation say the road is likely to remained closed for most of Sunday as crews clean up the mess.

The Department of Transportation said the slide was large enough to sweep trees into the roadway, but officials were unsure of what caused it.
