ALBANY, N.Y. - New York's Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced a new program will make Narcan more readily available.
The money largely comes from drug dealers with $5 million dollars going to fund the Community Overdose Prevention or COP.
This will allow each state or local officer be trained to administer the drug. Narcan is proven effective at stopping a heroin overdose.
