WOODSTOCK, Vt. - Neighbors near The Woodstock Inn are fed up with noise coming from weekend weddings and police are now taking action.

Neighbors say on Saturday night a party shutdown after the celebration violated the town's noise ordinance.

A tweet from the Woodstock Police Department says one neighbor made several complaints.

People who live nearby say they support the inn bringing business to Woodstock but they think it should have to follow the rules too.

“We understand that but they also have to understand that there are factors that affect the residents here and I think we've really crossed the line,” neighbor Art Skerker said.

Management from The Woodstock Inn declined to comment.

The town manager hasn't returned our calls and the local police department has not provided us with a report of the ordinance violation.
