NYSP Find 500 Bags of Heroin, Other Drugs During Traffic Stop

During a traffic stop on Route 86, New York State Police say they found 500 bags of heroin.
NORTH ELBA, N.Y. - During a traffic stop on Route 86, New York State Police say they found 500 bags of heroin.

Police arrested Gerald Dissottle, Jr., 23, of Nortwood, N.Y.; Allen Oshier, 21, of Canton, N.Y.; and Jordan Thomas, 24, of Potsdam, N.Y.; for drug possession. Police say all three had 0.6 grams of crack-cocaine, 7.1 grams of marihuana, and a digital scale in their possession.

Dissottle is charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, false personation, second degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of marihuana. He was arraigned and remanded to Essex County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bail, or $60,000 bond.

Oshier and Thomas were charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Thomas, the operator of the vehicle, was additionally ticketed for moving from lane unsafely and obstructed license plate.

Oshier and Thomas were arraigned in the Town of North Elba Court and were remanded in lieu of $5,000 cash bail, or $10,000 bond.

All three individuals are scheduled to reappear in court next week.
