MONTPELIER, Vt. - The National Wildlife Federation says a decision to reverse a Canadian pipeline means tar sands could come to Vermont.
Canada's National Energy Board approved the plan just a few hours ago.
If the pipeline company Enbridge moves forward with the idea, tar sands will travel east to Montreal through vermont.
This comes just days after Vermont communities voted against pipelines on Town Meeting Day.
The good news, before any change is made, the plan will likely need to be approved by the U.S State Department.
