PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - The 37th annual Mayor's Cup Regatta and Festival on Lake Champlain is being held in July.
Organizers and sponsors held a news conference on Wednesday to announce this year's plans.
The annual festival promotes free family fun and will take place from July 10th to the 13th.
About 1,700 people attended last year.
Changes this year include an expanded parade of lights party, concerts featuring the Stowaways and Keeghan Nolan, a kayak day and a soccer tournament.
"This is an exciting year for Mayor's Cup," Plattsburgh Mayor Jim Calnon (I/R) said. "You're listening to all the activities that are out there. There are things that will be attractive for young, old, all kinds of land and lake activities"
When it comes to the Regatta , it will truly be a mayor's cup because Plattsburgh Mayor Jim Calnon and Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger will be going head to head on the water.
