BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Vermont men's hockey sophomore forward Robert Polesello has left the program to play for the Kingston Frontenacs in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Head coach Kevin Sneddon made the announcement of Polesello's departure on Tuesday.

"Robert Polesello has informed our staff that he is leaving school to pursue an option to play in the Ontario Hockey League," said Sneddon. "I wish Mr. Polesello the best of luck as he pursues this option, and thank him for his contribution to UVM hockey while attending our University."

Last year as a freshman, the Bolton, Ontario native led all UVM rookies and was tied for fifth on the team in scoring with 13 points in 35 contests. He registered five goals and eight assists but posted a minus-19 rating for the season.

This season, Polesello has skated in five of the team's seven games, including the last three overall. He was tied for second on the team in goals (2) and points (4) this season with a plus-5 rating and 10 shots on goal.

The Catamounts (3-3-1, 2-2-0 HEA) return to action this weekend for a two-game Hockey East series against fifth-ranked Providence at Gutterson Fieldhouse on Friday (Nov. 15) and Saturday (Nov. 16) at 7:05 p.m.
