Police: Man Assaulted with Cinder Block and Knife

Two men are accused of assaulting a woman and man at a residence on Gilman Street Tuesday morning.
ST. ALBANS, Vt. -  Two men are accused of assaulting a woman and man at a residence on Gilman Street Tuesday morning. The incident happened at around 8:15 a.m.

Police say Vu Kieu, 42, and Travis Collins (aka "Stress"), 32, broke into the residence, assaulted a woman, and beat a man inside the residence with a cinder block and knife. The female victim knew the men.  

Both fled on foot and fled the scene in a red Ford Explorer. 

Police located the vehicle dropping off a 14-year-old student at BFA St. Albans. The school was put into lockdown, as a precaution, while the Kieu and Collins were being arrested.

The male victim was treated at Northwestern Medical Center for head trauma and multiple head bruises and injuries. The female victim received cuts and bruises, but refused medical treatment. 

Kieu is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (cinder block) and domestic assault. Collins is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (knife) and interference with access to emergency services.
