BURLINGTON, Vt. - The Burlington area Red Cross is hoping for more donations.
It's down hundreds of pints because of the storm.
Staff and volunteers say it was this empty just about all day. At the time, there were just three walk-ins. Usually there are more than 20.
"Usually about half of the donors that we'll see in the Donor Center are walk-ins so when we see a tiny portion of the total participation as walk-ins, we know we're going to have a slow day," Dave Carmichael, of the American Red Cross Blood Services, said.
The Red Cross had to cancel all its drives for the past two days.
Carmichael says that's a loss of four hundred pints.
