ALBANY, N.Y. - The deadline to register to vote in New York's primary elections on June 24 is Friday.
A press release says voters are able to register using the state's online MyDMV system.
“Participation in elections is the cornerstone of our democracy, and with online registration tools like MyDMV the State is making it easier than ever for voters to make their voices heard,” Governor Cuomo said. “I encourage all New Yorkers to fill out and double-check their registration forms to make sure they can cast their ballots in federal primary elections this June.”
In order to apply to register online, an individual must have a valid New York State driver license or idnetification card to setup a MyDMV account. The MyDMV account is validated through personal information like date of birth, social security number, address, and license document number.
