Reseachers: Young Adults Should Have Later School Start Times to Catch Up on Sleep

That is the finding of a study from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

It suggests delaying the start of the school day for middle and high school students until at least 8:30 a.m. to reduce chronic sleep loss, which is linked to poor health.

The study suggests teens should get between 8.5 to 9.5 hours of sleep a night. It's also recommended to turn off the distractions in the bedroom, like TVs, computers and gaming devices.
