Snow Caused Delays Delivering Valentines

It should come as no surprise that it's the busiest day of the year for florists!
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. - It should come as no surprise that it's the busiest day of the year for florists! The snow caused some delays in deliveries.

At Chappell's Florist in South Burlington it was all hands on deck! The owner Steve Juiffre says the florists had to take extra precautions to make sure the flowers were protected.

"We had to wrap everything because it was so windy and cold out," Juiffre said. "A run that might have taken an hour and a half to do under good weather probably took two and a half to three hours."

For the first part of the day, Chappell's couldn't take new delivery orders, but once the road conditions improved, they were able to catch up.

He says despite the weather, they still had a good number of walk ins.
