Storms Cause Damage in VT, NY

Severe storms raced through New York and Vermont, causing damage in many communities Tuesday.
BURLINGTON, Vt - Severe thunderstorms raced through New York and Vermont Tuesday evening, bringing down trees and power lines in many communities.

At the height of the storm, more than 20,000 customers were without power in Vermont, and about 2000 in northern New York. Power crews will work through the night to restore power as quickly as possible.
