Stuff-a-Truck Fills the Shelves

After collecting donations for three days, food that was collected from the "Stuff-a-Truck" event in Berlin was unloaded Monday.
After collecting donations for three days last week, Stuff-a-Truck has proven successful, again.

The event that benefits the Salvation Army Food in Barre collected 20 tons of food, which equals about $25,000.

This year’s event trumped last year’s total by 1.2 tons. On Monday, volunteers unloaded the truck at the Salvation Army, where the goods are expected to last a full year.

It is going to be stocked to the brim,” Salvation Army Lieutenant Jason Brake explained. “Knowing that food is going to carry us through for the year is pretty exciting."
