Ticonderoga Airport Receives $130K Grant to Make It More Self-Sustaining

Rep. Bill Owens (D NY-21) announced $130,000 in FAA grants for Ticonderoga Airport.
TICONDEROGA, N.Y. - Rep. Bill Owens (D NY-21) announced $130,000 in FAA grants for Ticonderoga Airport.

A press release says the funds will be used to construct a fuel facility and make the airport more self-sustaining.

“This upgrade adds to the long-term sustainability of a critical transportation resource for the Ticonderoga community,” said Owens. “Adding a self-service fueling station to this airport will support the continued growth of tourism and business travel to the region, as well as provide a small source of revenue to pay for the basic needs of the town and its residents.”

The Ticonderoga Municipal Airport is a public general aviation airport spanning 60 acres that maintains 4,041 feet of asphalt runway.
