USA Hockey announced Thursday the Bring on the World Tour for the U.S. Women's National Team as part of the overall preparation for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games.  The tour is a key component of Team USA's quest for gold and will include the 2013 Four Nations Cup and three games against Canada.

The first stop of the tour is Burlington, Vt. where the U.S. will take on Canada at Gutterson Fieldhouse in a rematch of the 2012 IIHF Women's World Championship played at Gutterson.  The game is scheduled for October 12 at 7 p.m. and tickets are on sale now (click here).

"We're excited to kick off the tour in Burlington and compete in such a passionate and supportive environment," said Reagan Carey, USA Hockey's director of women's hockey.  "We're excited about the tour and not only the visibility it brings to women's hockey, but also the benefit it has in preparing our team for Sochi."

"We are thrilled to be part of the tour and have the best in the world of women's hockey return to Burlington," said Chris McCabe, assistant vice president of marketing and business development at the University of Vermont.  "The energy, excitement and support of this region promises to deliver another memorable game between these great rivals at Gutterson Fieldhouse."

Following the USA/Canada game in Burlington, the teams will travel to Lake Placid, N.Y. for the Four Nations Cup.  In addition to the United States and Canada, Sweden and Finland will also compete in this year's tournament.  The Four Nations Cup will be held November 5-9 at the Olympic Center.
