A Vermont woman has been cited into court for selling fake day passes to the Champlain Valley Fair.

Police say Jeannie Morrill, also known as Billings, 32, sold and distributed the tickets.

Police received reports over the weekend of the counterfeit passes. Reports came in from Williston and Essex.

Police have seized a large number of the fake passes, and say fair officials now know what they look like.

Morrill, of Burlington, is scheduled to appear in court next month. She faces one count of false pretenses or tokens.

The Champlain Valley Fair kicked-off Friday and goes until Sunday, August 31.
